The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (“PPACA”) requires most U.S. employers to provide all current employees with notices about evaluating and purchasing health insurance coverage by October 1, 2013, and to provide such notices to new hires starting on October 1, 2013.

For information concerning the contents of the notices and the PPACA requirements, Pryor Cashman Partners Alice B. Stock and Joshua Zuckerberg, both members of the firm's Labor and Employment Group, authored a Legal Update entitled, Reminder to Employers: Affordable Care Act Requires Employers To Send Notice of Health Care Marketplace Exchanges To Employees.
