Pryor Cashman Of Counsel Laure Sawaya, a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Group, will be speaking at the 13th Annual Legal, Regulatory & Compliance Forum on Cosmetics & Personal Care Products, taking place March 12–13, 2026 at the New York City Bar Association.

On Thursday, Laure will lead a roundtable discussion during the “Cosmetics, Cocktails and Conversation” networking session titled “Borrowed Sounds and Viral Memes: How Cosmetics Brands Can Engage with Pop Culture Without Crossing IP Lines.” The discussion will explore how cosmetics brands can participate in viral online trends while navigating copyright and trademark considerations.

On Friday, Laure will also speak on the panel “Safeguarding Brand Integrity: Strategies to Combat Dupes, Counterfeits & Knock-Offs,” alongside Steven Rosenthal, Vice President & Assistant General Counsel, Global Intellectual Property & Licensing at Revlon, and Laurine Janin Reynaud, Attorney-at-Law and Partner at TAoMA Partners. The panel will discuss strategies for protecting cosmetics brands from counterfeits, knock-offs, and copycat products, including trademarks, patent, and design right enforcement and the use of non-traditional trademarks.
