Partners Howard Siegel and Kenneth Schulman have been retained by the finalists on the 2007 season of Fox's television juggernaut, "American Idol." Siegel and Schulman represent the contestants in connection with their current appearance on the show and with respect to general entertainment, licensing and other deals in which they may be involved. They also represent "American Idol" judge Paula Abdul and "American Idol" alumni Ruben Studdard, Kimberley Locke, Kim Caldwell and Justin Guarini, among others.

Pryor Cashman's representation of the contestants was featured on the front page of the April 17-23, 2007 issue of The Hollywood Reporter, Esq. The article, entitled "Idol Counsel - Howard Siegel represents all of the 'American Idol' finalists. Yes, all of them," features a photograph of Siegel surrounded by the finalists. The article describes how Siegel and Schulman traveled to California and, during a week-long session, negotiated the deals signed by each of the contestants. The article quotes several industry lawyers, including one who notes that "having Howard aboard helps because he's a good person and a good lawyer."

The story was also prominently featured on The Wall Street Journal Online Law Blog. To read what Peter Lattman, lead writer of the blog, wrote about Siegel and his representation of the "American Idol" finalists in his story "American Idol & The Law, please click here.
