Partner Avram Morell, a member of Pryor Cashman’s Immigration Group, spoke to Law360 for its October 3, 2013 article “5 Looming Regulatory Changes For The Hospitality Industry.” The article discusses various upcoming regulatory reforms and how they will impact the hospitality industry.

One of the biggest concerns for the industry will be immigration reform. The recent U.S. Senate's immigration reform bill, which passed June 2013 with bipartisan support, would make immigration status checks mandatory for all employers. There is uncertainty, however, as to when the bill will ultimately take effect.

Morell, whose experience includes a wide range of immigration and nationality law, told Law360, “[w]ith the combination of politics in Washington right now and the juggling of pressing items on Congress’ docket, it makes it difficult for anyone to predict when it will actually happen.”
