Brad D. Rose, Chairman of Pryor Cashman’s Intellectual Property Group, writes a monthly column for industry trade publication Royaltie$ Magazine. This month's column is entitled “Protecting IP Rights.”

In the article, which appears in the May 2008 issue, Rose discusses under most licensing scenarios, that it is in the licensor’s best interest to ensure that all trademark rights are protected against any third-party infringement. Rose also discusses some common ways for a licensor or licensee to seek protection for licensed trademarks.
