Partner Joshua Zuckerberg, a member of Pryor Cashman’s Labor and Employment Group, was interviewed by The San Francisco Examiner for its March 28, 2011 article on Sfexaminer.com entitled “There’s nothing normal about these NFL labor talks.”

The article highlights key aspects of the current labor dispute between NFL owners and players, making these discussions unique to the normal negotiation process.

Zuckerberg, who has worked on both sides of labor negotiations, notes the one thing you would never see in normal labor negotiations is the union voting to decertify. “Unions fight to stay in business. They would never willingly decertify,” says Zuckerberg. He further claims, “The other thing is that you have members of the union, the players, who can sue on their own. You wouldn’t have that in a normal labor situation because employees wouldn’t normally have the financial resources to do that. But these players have substantial incomes, so they can.”
