Partner Rob deBrauwere, a member of Pryor Cashman’s Entertainment and Intellectual Property Groups, spoke to The New York Post for its February 8, 2011 article, “AOL’s Ariana’s Bet – Net giant blows half its cash on $315 HuffPo deal.”
According to deBrauwere, “Huffington Post is the quintessential participatory news publishing platform. To maintain that level of engagement in the social media environment, it has to maintain its voice, which I hope does not get muted in the process, even though it is slightly leftist. If it does, I fear it will go the way of MySpace and AOL and become an abandoned and dead amusement park of the Internet.”
