Pryor Cashman was proud to host a “meet-and-greet” event for New York inner-city high school students through the “Elevate New York” program. “Elevate New York” works with less advantaged urban students to inspire them to complete high school and, ideally, to continue their educations at college. A group of students heard from a cross-section of Pryor Cashman’s workforce to learn about the various opportunities for work in a New York law firm, particularly for those who pursue college degrees. The students heard from: Pryor Cashman attorneys William Charron, Ali Panjwani and Mona Simonian; legal assistants Stephanie Fereaud and Robert Michael, Jr.; legal secretary Nicole Graham; marketing manager Ann Heatherington; human resources director Oris Diaz; billing and accounting director Gregory Moragne; and IT assistant Manny Alsayidi.  The students got to ask questions such as:  “Do you feel successful?”, “What inspired you to want to do this?”, and “What causes you to come into work each day, even when the weather is bad?”
