Pryor Cashman Hosts NYSBA Kenneth G. Standard Internship Program Reception
A reception honoring the participants in the Kenneth G. Standard Internship Program was hosted by Pryor Cashman at its New York offices on August 5, 2015.
The Kenneth G. Standard Internship Program, established and run by the Corporate Counsel Section of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), focuses on identifying and supporting in-house internship opportunities for diverse law students. Although the Corporate Counsel section budgets for half of the students’ salaries (and 100% of the salary for a non-for-profit host company), many of the host companies generously cover the entire salary. Over 60 interns have been placed during the program’s ten year history.
The annual reception, which Pryor Cashman has been proud to host in the past, honored the interns and host companies participating in the 2015 program. Past and present NYSBA Presidents attended the reception, including:
- Former NYSBA President Kenneth G. Standard, for whom the program is named
- Current NYSBA President David Miranda
- President-Elect Claire Gutekunst
- Past Presidents Glen Lau-Kee and Steve Younger
Pryor Cashman Counsel Anne Atkinson, a member of the Corporate Counsel Section’s Executive Committee and Diversity Committee of the Section, assisted in organizing the reception.
