Pryor Cashman LLP congratulates partner Jonathan T. Shepard for his selection by The M&A Advisor as a 2014 Top "40 Under 40" Award recipient in the "Legal Advisor" category. The award recognizes Shepard’s accomplishments and contribution to advancing the investment management industry, as determined by an independent judging panel of distinguished New York business leaders.

Shepard is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Group and co-chair of the Investment Management Group. In that role, he has developed significant expertise representing some of the leading global hedge funds and private equity firms (with assets under management of more than $35 billion) as well as start-up investment funds. His practice focuses on litigation and bankruptcy proceedings, and advising his clients on the formation and operation of all types of alternative investment vehicles, including hedge funds, funds-of-funds, venture capital funds, private equity funds and private real estate funds.

This is the fifth annual "40 Under 40" award, which The M&A Advisor launched to acknowledge emerging leaders who are expected to have a significant effect on the M&A, financing and turnaround industries.

Shepard will receive his award on Tuesday, June 24, during a black tie gala hosted by The M&A Advisor at the Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan that will be held in conjunction with the 2014 Emerging Leaders’ Summit – an exclusive event pairing "40 Under 40" winners together with other industry leaders.
