Partner Jonathan T. Shepard, Co-Chair of Pryor Cashman's Investment Management Group, has once again been selected as a finalist in the 3rd Annual "40 Under 40" M&A Advisor Recognition Awards – Eastern Region. The 2012 awards will celebrate the M&A, financing and turnaround professionals who have reached a significant level of success in the industry while still under the age of 40.

Shepard was among a small group of attorneys who received this distinguished honor. He has significantly developed the firm’s Investment Management practice, representing some of the leading global hedge funds and private equity firms as well as entrepreneurial start-ups. Shepard regularly represents such clients in connection with litigation and bankruptcy proceedings and advises them on the formation and operation of all types of alternative investment vehicles, including hedge funds, fund-of-funds, venture capital, private equity funds and private real estate funds.

The 2012 "40 Under 40" award winners and finalists have been chosen for their career accomplishments and professional expertise from a pool of prominent nominees by an independent judging panel of distinguished M&A, financing and turnaround industry leaders. “For over a decade we have been recognizing US and international transactions, firms and dealmakers for their achievements. In 2010 we initiated the "40 Under 40" awards to recognize the emerging industry leaders,” says Roger Aguinaldo, CEO of The M&A Advisor. “This year our judges reported that they were truly challenged to select just 40 winners and 20 runners up from such an accomplished group of Awards Finalists.”

On May 3, 2012, The M&A Advisor will host a black tie awards gala at The Lighthouse on the waterfront at Pier 61 in New York City to introduce the "40 Under 40" award winners and finalists to the business community and celebrate their achievements.
