Pryor Cashman Achieves Mansfield Certification Plus Designation from Diversity Lab for 2023-2024

Pryor Cashman is pleased to announce that the firm has again obtained the Mansfield Rule Certification, reflecting the firm’s commitment to increasing opportunities for diverse representation in leadership, advancement, and hiring. This year Pryor Cashman achieved Mansfield Certification Plus status, reserved for firms that achieve certain goals in their inclusive processes.

“We are pleased to renew our dedication to the Mansfield Rule and are proud to have our commitment to transparency and accountability recognized with our Mansfield Certification Plus status,” said Rachel Shaw, Pryor Cashman partner and chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee.

Overseen by Diversity Lab, the Mansfield Rule is a structured certification process designed to ensure that all talent at participating law firms have a fair and equal opportunity to advance into leadership. Mansfield is focused on broadening the talent pool for consideration, including those attorneys who are historically underrepresented in the legal profession, to facilitate transparent leadership pathways. Pryor Cashman and other Mansfield-certified firms create rigorous data-gathering and reporting structures to provide visibility into hiring and advancement opportunities for diverse candidates, among other key data points.

Pryor Cashman is one of more than 350 law firms that have already signaled they will participate in the Mansfield Rule certification process in the coming year ahead (2024-2025).

Diversity Lab is an incubator for innovative ideas and solutions that boost diversity and inclusion in law. Experimental ideas are created and piloted in collaboration with more than 350 top law firms and legal departments across the country. The organization leverages data, behavioral science, design thinking, and technology to further develop and test the ideas, measure the results, and share the lessons learned.
