2021-2022 CREDITOR’S RIGHTS LITIGATION ASSOCIATE
Pryor Cashman LLP is currently seeking a 3rd – 4th year creditor’s rights litigation associate.
The successful candidate has state court litigation experience, including with respect to both residential and commercial property foreclosure actions and with respect to commercial collection actions. Candidates should also have experience enforcing mortgages and other security interests in New York. Experience with loan workouts, Article 9 foreclosure proceedings, and mortgage loan purchase and sale transactions is a plus.
NY Bar admission is required.
2026 Salary: $235,000 - $250,000. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc.

The Real Estate Group is currently seeking an associate with 2-4 years of experience to join its prominent real estate practice. The successful candidate should have experience in general real estate with a focus on commercial retail leasing.

BILLING COORDINATOR
The Billing Coordinator is responsible for the accurate preparation, review and submission of firm invoices including manual electronic billings. Maintain billing files and keep up to date billing arrangements and instructions. Assist Billing Partners with the administration of unbilled inventory.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Compile and process attorney bills on a monthly basis.
- Track Proformas to ensure timely and accurate billing
- Review and edit pre-bills as requested by attorneys and secretaries.
- Monitor aged unbilled inventory and ensure timely billing submissions.
- Apply retainer/on-account funds in accordance with attorney instructions and firm policy.
- Process write-offs following firm guidelines.
- Handle complex billing scenarios, including multiple discounts by matter, split-party billing, and prepare electronic bills promptly.
- Submit invoices electronically and assist in resolving any issues that arise.
- Review and verify the accuracy of supporting documentation for billing.
- Research and respond to internal and external inquiries regarding billing issues in a timely manner.
- Identify and correct any billing inaccuracies.
- Maintain effective communication with attorneys, secretaries, and clients regarding billing matters.
- Provide backup assistance to team members as needed.
- Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher with a concentration in accounting, finance, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of billing experience in a law firm environment.
- Familiarity with 3E billing system, eHUB, or other similar legal billing software is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Skills and Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Excel and Smartsheet.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to maintain accuracy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

BILLING COORDINATOR (IMMIGRATION)
The Billing Coordinator is responsible for managing the full billing cycle for a high-volume Immigration Practice Group. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff to ensure accurate and timely billing, collections support, and client service.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process monthly proformas and distribute them to attorneys for review and approval.
- Prepare, review, edit, and finalize client invoices for immigration matters.
- Ensure billing accuracy related to flat-fee arrangements, hourly billing, filing fees, government costs, and disbursements.
- Monitor and apply retainers (on-account balances) and unallocated payments appropriately.
- Submit electronic invoices through client e-billing systems when required.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies, rejected invoices, and client billing inquiries in a timely manner.
- Review aged WIP and Accounts Receivable reports and assist with collections follow-up and invoice-related inquiries.
- Maintain accurate Partner Profiles and client matter information within the firm's billing system.
- Track and invoice USCIS filing fees, premium processing fees, government costs, and related expenses.
- Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and firm billing policies.
- Collaborate closely with immigration attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to facilitate efficient matter management and accurate billing.
- Support month-end and year-end billing deadlines and reporting requirements.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred, ideally with a concentration in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of legal billing experience, preferably within an Immigration Practice Group.
- Experience managing a high-volume billing desk of approximately 600–900 invoices per month.
- Experience with Elite 3E accounting software.
- Prior experience in a law firm environment supporting attorneys and legal staff.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong understanding of legal billing processes, including WIP management, Accounts Receivable, retainers, and collections support.
- Experience with electronic billing platforms and client billing guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of immigration billing structures, including flat-fee and retainer-based matters, preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to various work situations to achieve desired results.
- Willingness to work additional hours as required to meet deadlines.
