Distressed Debt & Claims Trading

Daniel also routinely advises credit funds on all aspects of distressed debt and claims trading transactions and has ample experience working on bilateral and syndicated deals. Notable representations include:

  • Represented hedge fund in connection with the purchase and sale of 200+ FTX bankruptcy claims with total notional value exceeding $1.7 billion, including bilateral transfers, complex multi-party claims auctions, club syndication deals, and joint-venture claim participations.
  • Represented hedge fund in connection with a bank debt transaction and advised on voting rights issues, including the fund’s ability to control the vote in the event of a liability management exercise.
  • Represented hedge fund in connection with the purchase of a $870 million pension fund claim.
