Elizabeth Rivera is a member of Pryor Cashman’s Labor + Employment Group.
Izzie represents employers in state and federal employment disputes. She regularly assists clients throughout all stages of litigation by drafting dispositive motions, managing written discovery, and conducting and defending depositions. Izzie has negotiated on behalf of employers to achieve favorable resolutions in both private and court-ordered mediations and settlement conferences. In her practice, Izzie also represents employers in comprehensive investigations launched by the New York City Department of Consumer and Worker Protection, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the New York State Office of Attorney General. Izzie regularly counsels employers on complex workplace issues and provides guidance as to employee relations, accommodations, internal investigations, and compliance with evolving labor and employment regulations.
During law school, Izzie served as Secretary for the Latin American Law Students Association and zealously represented criminal defendants through the Fordham Law Federal Litigation Clinic. Izzie gained valuable experience through legal internships as the Urban Justice Center, New York Civil Liberties Union, and New York State Division of Human Rights. Izzie was a recipient of the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award, summa cum laude.
