Pryor Cashman Labor + Employment Partners Joshua Zuckerberg and LaKeisha Caton, Media + Entertainment Counsel Anne Atkinson, and Media + Entertainment Associate Maraiya Hakeem are participating in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility in Filmed Entertainment, presented by the New York State Bar Association’s Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law (EASL) Section and hosted by Pryor Cashman.

Josh, LaKeisha, Anne, and Maraiya will be joined by event moderator Cheryl Davis, General Counsel, The Authors Guild; Julia Alexander, Director of Strategy, Parrot Analytics, and Contributor, Puck; Dr. Ana-Christina Ramón, an author of the UCLA Diversity in Hollywood Reports; Ann Burdick, General Counsel, WGAeast; and Michael Jennings, Director of Inclusion Strategy, Netflix.

The event will “will explore the current status, what entertainment companies, awards organizations, the guilds and others are doing, and the status of the legal landscape, especially after the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent rulings on affirmative action in higher education.”

This program, which includes two CLE credits, is the last in a series of events regarding the state of diversity in the EASL industries; former programs included diversity in publishing, music, and the fine arts. Research for part of the program was done by Hilary Drabkin, a law student extern working with Pryor Cashman, and Kristin Paradisis, a law student with NYSBA’s Young Lawyers Section.
