Kaveri Arora is a member of the Litigation, Intellectual Property, and Media + Entertainment Groups, representing clients in a diverse range of intellectual property and complex commercial litigation matters. She is also the co-head of the firm’s Women’s Leadership Initiative.

Kaveri regularly counsels music, technology, art, fashion, and luxury goods companies and has significant experience in all aspects of litigation at both the state and federal levels.

Matter highlights include:

  • The National Music Publishers’ Association and Nashville Songwriters Association International in the successful ruling by the Copyright Royalty Board to increase 2018-2022 royalty rates by nearly 44% to songwriters and music publishers from music streaming companies such as Google, Apple, Amazon, Spotify, and Pandora.
  • META against Meta Platforms, Inc. (formerly Facebook) in litigation involving trademark infringement and unfair competition causes of action.
  • Wilmington Savings Fund Society, FSB (WSFS), as indenture trustee and notes collateral agent of various bond indentures issued by Incora.  In an adversary proceeding alleging claims for breach of bond indentures and related contract claims, successfully obtained summary judgment in favor of WSFS on all counts. Wesco Aircraft Holdings, Inc., et al. v. SSD Investments Ltd., et al., Adv. Proc. No. 23-03091 (Bankr. S.D. Tex.).
  • An artist’s foundation in helping to expose the largest art fraud in American history; and a related but separate representation of the purchaser of multimillion-dollar fake “Mark Rothko” painting from the gallery at the center of the fraud (Martin Hilti Family Trust v. Knoedler Gallery LLC).
  • Richemont, a Swiss luxury goods brand that produces and sells jewelry, watches, leather goods, clothing, and accessories, in connection with various global litigation matters.

Giving Back to the Community

Kaveri has a deep commitment to pro bono work, providing legal representation to low-income individuals in copyright and trademark disputes. She has also represented numerous immigrants in asylum and cancellation of removal proceedings.
