Bionovo, Inc. (NASDAQ: BNVI), a pharmaceutical company focused on the discovery and development of safe and effective treatments for women's health and cancer, announced the closing of its underwritten public offering of 30,031,200 units with gross proceeds of over $30 million.

Each unit consisted of one share of common stock and a warrant to purchase one half of one share of Bionovo common stock.

Cowen and Company, LLC acted as the sole bookrunner for the transaction and was represented by Pryor Cashman. Partners Richard Frazer, Stephen Goodman, Jeffrey Johnson, Counsel Michael T. Campoli, and associates Lloyd N. Steele and Robert C. Lamonica, all members of Pryor Cashman’s Corporate Group, represented Cowen.
