Partner Larry Remmel, a member of Pryor Cashman’s Banking and Finance Group, was a guest speaker at the RSM McGladrey, Inc. Risk and Compliance breakfast on July 6, 2010. Remmel’s topic was Dodd-Frank Financial Reform: Creating a Future of Periodic Failure.

Remmel set out the framework within which Dodd-Frank was drafted and discussed the likely way the bill will be implemented and how various segments of the financial industry will be affected by the bill. Remmel gave his views on how Dodd-Frank would interact with the Basel III regulatory framework and the changes this interaction would cause in the banking industry.
