Michael Goldberg, a partner in Pryor Cashman’s Litigation Group, was interviewed by the New York Post for its article, “Diva’s new suit, Macy’s sues Martha over Penney Deal.”

The article discusses Macy’s suit to block Martha Stewart’s new deal with JCPenney on the basis that Stewart signed a new 10-year contract with Penney for a line of home products, while recently renewing a 5-year exclusive agreement with Macy’s.

While Macy’s doesn’t state when it signed the agreement, Goldberg, who handles corporate and commercial litigations for numerous companies in many diverse fields, believes it’s possible Stewart’s argument could “devolve into technical claims.”
