Soloway, and associate Stephanie Kline examines the "equity of redemption" which protects a defaulting borrower's rights of repayment during the period of time between a default and a foreclosure sale. It includes two specific scenarios which lenders must navigate carefully to avoid violating the equity of redemption and, ultimately, losing out on their expected bargain.
