As part of Pryor Cashman’s Corporate Group and Corporate Trust Practice, Arsala Kidwai focuses on representing banks and financial institutions in trustee and agency capacities over a wide array of financial transactions.
Her experience and knowledge spreads across debt financings, private placements, loan administration, insurance trusts, insurance linked securities and CAT Bonds, settlement agencies (DTC and Euroclear), custody, M+A, and business escrows.
Arsala joined the firm from her previous position as Assistant General Counsel at M&T Bank, within their Global Capital Markets group (Wilmington Trust National Association). Prior to this, she was a transaction manager with Bank of New York Mellon’s Corporate Trust Group. Her background creates an acute understanding of the risk and legal parameters of corporate trust banks and financial institutions in representative transactions both domestically and internationally, along with their operational and business-linked concerns.
After completing her LL.M. in Banking and Financial Law at Boston University School of Law, Arsala was awarded a fellowship with the Microfinance Group of the International Development Law Organization (IDLO) in Rome, Italy, focusing on microfinance law and regulation issues in developing nations.
