Partner Edward Normandin, a member of Pryor Cashman’s Corporate and China Practice Groups, was interviewed by the U.S. edition of China Daily for its March 16, 2012 article, “Where Chinese legal eagles dare to soar.”

Due to the recent influx of Chinese investors doing business in the United States, the article examines the growing number of law firms based in China developing offices in the U.S.

Normandin, who welcomes the exchange, told the publication these Chinese law firms, which are not large enough to perform extensive legal services, often refer work to U.S. law firms with which they have established a close relationship. Furthermore he stated, “We don't feel we are competing with them but complementing each other.” “We often handle the work in which they don't yet have the full capacity to address. And they give us easy access to legal support for our U.S. clients in China,” he said.
