CAST USA Conference
Elizabeth Fei Chen, a Partner and member of Pryor Cashman’s Corporate and China Practice Groups, spoke at the CAST USA conference, a forum under the subject of Innovation and Cooperation, organized by the Chinese Association for Science and Technology. The conference was held at Low Memorial Library at Columbia University on Saturday, October 6, 2012.
CAST USA was formed in 1992 to foster the development and communication of Chinese entrepreneurs in the United States with their counterparts in China. To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the organization has invited celebrities from both China and the U.S., including the ambassador from the Chinese Consulate General in New York, U.S. – China Investment Fund LP Chairman and China General Aviation Development Association President, Mr. Changdong Xu, and Vice President for Global Technology of New York University, Mr. Tom Delaney.
The conference was in four sections including a general forum in the morning, and specific sections in the afternoon, such as Computer and Information Technology, Bio-Medical, Green Technology, and Finance & Investment, Starts-up. Chen spoke in the Finance & Investment, Starts-up section, on the subject of “Going Public and Private by China-based Companies.” She covered topics surrounding the current environment for going public and private for companies from China, critical components and drives for such transactions.
