Partner Jeff Alberts, head of the firm's FinTech practice, was recently named to the National Law Journal's inaugural Cryptocurrency, Blockchain and FinTech Trailblazers list for 2018. The list, which highlights a handful of practitioners who have "truly moved the needle" in new technologies and digital currencies, mentioned Jeff's work in the initial public sale of ether, the second-largest cryptocurrency in the world behind Bitcoin.

The NLJ also mentioned Jeff's work in co-authoring a law review article named "Is Bitcoin a Security?," where he concluded that bitcoin was not subject to security regulation under U.S. law- a position that the SEC recently concluded as well.
