Pryor Cashman Counsel Praveena Nallainathan, a member of the Immigration Group, spoke to Law360 about joining the firm this month.

In “Pryor Cashman Adds Immigration Atty To New York Office,” Praveena describes what brought her to the firm:

… she was drawn to Pryor Cashman because she was impressed with the firm’s breadth of business immigration and sports immigration practice, as well as its roster of “unusual” immigration cases and matters involving high net-worth individuals.

“I wanted a space where there’s creative lawyering and innovation … and really partnering with businesses,” she said.

Praveena also talked about how she combines her experience in immigration law with her background working on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in corporate settings:

With her immigration law and human resources both featuring on her resume, Nallainathan called her experience “somewhat unique” in the field.

“I’m practicing and bringing all of those realms together,” she said. “In my mind, they’re different lenses for the same type of work that we do to support talent and mobility.”

Based on her in-house experience, Nallainathan said that she can help companies develop immigration programs that reflect their employer values.
