Biography

Taylor Weinstein is a member of Pryor Cashman’s Tax and Investment Management Groups, where she advises on the tax aspects of a broad range of corporate and real estate matters, including the formation and structuring of private investment funds, mergers and acquisitions, financings, and joint ventures.

She regularly helps clients navigate complex income tax issues arising in connection with sales, acquisitions, and joint ventures, including in cross-border settings.

Taylor has extensive experience assisting clients with the organization of their business enterprises and with the planning, structuring, financing, and execution of their business transactions. She advises several of the Firm’s private equity clients on tax matters related both to fund formation and the negotiating and structuring of acquisitions by those funds. She helps clients in properly establishing their tax positions, complying with applicable reporting and payment requirements, and defending their tax positions in examinations, administrative appeals, and judicial proceedings.

She also counsels individuals and businesses with respect to non-income tax matters, including New York State and City sales and use tax and real estate transfer tax.
