Pryor Cashman represented Resource Holdings Inc. (OTC BB: SMSA) and its Cuiaba, Mato Grosso-based Brazilian subsidiary, RHI Mineracao Ltda, in the closing of a financing in the amount of $11.4 million from West Ventures LLC, an asset-based lending company.

Resource Holdings intends to use a substantial portion of the financing proceeds to fund a unique loan program that it has developed to provide expansion capital to established gold mining operations in Brazil. Under its first mine expansion loan, Resource Holdings will lend Reginaldo Luiz de Almeida Ferreira – ME, a 30-year-old gold mining operation in Cuiaba Brazil, $9.5 million for the construction of an expanded processing plant and the acquisition of additional mining and ore processing equipment and for working capital.
