Ryan Iglesias is a skilled attorney in Pryor Cashman’s Insurance Recovery + Counseling Practice, bringing a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of insurance coverage matters. With a proven track record in handling high-stakes litigations, he is adept at navigating complex legal challenges to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

Throughout his career, Ryan has prepared and participated in cases pending before the Second Circuit, New Jersey District Court, Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, First and Second Departments of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, and the New Jersey Appellate Division.

With a focus in policyholder-side insurance coverage litigation, Ryan handles a wide range of policies, including Commercial General Liability (CGL), Directors and Officers (D&O) liability, Errors and Omissions (E&O), cyber liability, property damage, business interruption, product liability, recall and contamination, first-party property, life insurance, and third-party liability insurance. He has achieved significant recoveries for clients by leveraging his deep understanding of policy language and strategic negotiation skills.

What sets Ryan apart is his unique background in insurance coverage disputes. Beginning his career defending multinational insurance carriers, Ryan gained invaluable insight into how insurers underwrite policies, evaluate claims, and approach litigation. Ryan’s former carrier-side experience serves as a distinct advantage to his current policyholder clients, enabling Ryan to anticipate and counteract insurer strategies efficiently and effectively.

Ryan was previously an insurance coverage litigation associate at another major international firm. While in law school, Ryan was a distinguished student leader, particularly in the diversity and inclusion space. He served as the Vice President of the Student Bar Association, where he focused on creating infrastructure to support diversity initiatives. Ryan co-founded the First Generation Professionals Group and chaired the Diversity & Inclusion Committees of both the St. John’s Student Bar Association and New York International Law Review. He also co-founded and chaired the Affinity Group Alliance sub-committee of the Student Bar Association and served on the Dean’s Advisory Council on Diversity and Inclusion.
