Diversity
Pryor Cashman's objective has always been to nurture an environment where everyone has an equal opportunity to participate and excel.
Our attorneys and staff members are recruited, retained, and promoted regardless of their race, color, disability, religion, age, marital status, veteran status, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, genetic information, medical condition or disability, or any other protected status under federal, state, or local law.
We recognize that the firm benefits enormously from the rich diversity of our people, and to ensure that we continue to attract a balanced mix of talented individuals, we have developed numerous initiatives, including:
- A Diversity Committee to assist in addressing issues of inclusion, individuality, diversity, and race at our firm
- A 1L Diversity Summer Associate Scholarship position each summer
- Earning Mansfield Certification Plus from Diversity Lab
- Expanding our recruitment efforts and mandating implicit bias training for attorneys and staff
- Forming partnerships with non-profit groups dedicated to the expansion of opportunities within the profession, including our membership in the Law Firm Antiracism Alliance
- Offering CLE programs dedicated to DEI issues
- Strengthening our presence within organizations and professional associations that encourage diversity
- Our Women's Leadership Initiative, a platform for women attorneys at all phases of their careers to engage in professional training, mentoring, business development, and philanthropy
- Providing domestic partnership insurance benefits
- Partnering with the Kenneth G. Standard Diversity Internship Program to host its annual Diversity Internship Reception
- Encouraging support and involvement in specialty bar associations and organizations
- Offering mentoring programs designed to meet the professional goals and aspirations of associates
- Providing paid maternity leave and part-time and flex-time schedules to accommodate work-life balance
A Commitment to Diversity on All Levels
Speaking Up to Elevate the Voices of Our Clients
Megan Noh, a co-chair of Pryor Cashman's Art Law Group, worked with The Here and There Collective (THAT Co.) X Dominique Fung in support of their collaboration with Artsy to host the Artists Against Anti-Asian Violence Benefit Auction. THAT Co. is an organization committed to uplifting contemporary artists, curators, and collectors from the Asian diaspora.
Following the deduction of costs and artist proceeds, funds raised through the auction will go to the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund and Heart of Dinner 愛心餐, two non-profits active in the fight for safety, equality, and equity.
