Pryor Cashman's Corporate Trust Group Earns 2019 Deal of the Year from Latin Lawyer
Pryor Cashman served as counsel in the Latin Lawyer’s Restructuring Deal of the Year - a US$1.5 billion global restructuring deal for the Brazilian oil and gas services group Constellation. The deal ended over two years of court proceedings in Brazil, the US, and the British Virgin Islands.
Seth H. Lieberman, chair of both the Bankruptcy, Reorganization + Creditors' Rights Group and Corporate Trust Practice, and Patrick Sibley, co-chair of the Corporate Trust Practice, led the Pryor Cashman team in this deal. Pryor Cashman served as Counsel to Wilmington Trust as an indenture trustee for 9.00%/0.50% PIK Senior Secured Notes Due 2024.
Winners of the 14th annual Deal of the Year Awards were selected from a pool of more than 400 nominations. According to Latin Lawyer:
“The winning deals all exhibited truly novel legal work at a level of complexity that broke new parameters in the jurisdictions they occurred in. Their impact and significance are evident well beyond the negotiating table.”
