Chambers Recognizes Pryor Cashman for 10th Straight Year

Pryor Cashman was named among the nation’s best law firms by Chambers USA for the 10th straight year. As in previous years, the firm’s Media + Entertainment and Immigration Groups were recognized, along with several individual attorneys who were honored for distinction.

Strong Media + Entertainment Litigators

The firm was lauded for "its strength in the music litigation space, handling a wide range of disputes on behalf of artists, songwriters, music publishers and record labels." They noted the firm's expertise, especially as it pertains to royalty rate-setting, contractual and intellectual property litigation, though also mentioned the firm's success in "counseling clients involved in theater, film, TV and literary publishing, with particular depth of expertise in the representation of motion picture studios."

Specifically, Chambers recognized Donald Zakarin, as the chair of the litigation group, who "offers notable expertise in media and entertainment disputes, with clients calling upon his deep strengths in copyright and wider intellectual property claims." Sources reported: "He is a very creative, charismatic and effective courtroom lawyer."

Clients also pointed to Brad Rose, who "offers highly regarded counsel and advocacy in intellectual property claims, with considerable abilities in representing music, digital media and entertainment businesses in litigation work." They cited his "good balance of the law and business prospectives" as a key strength, noting his ability to offer "very clear instructions and good counsel when weighing in on business decisions."

Brad also earned accolades within the IP: Trademark & Copyright area, where one reference specifically noted "his experience advising on a range of IP matters including trademark infringement disputes, right of publicity issues and commercialization transactions."

Michael Novicoff of the firm's Los Angeles office was also a recognized practitioner.

Significant recognition went to the Immigration Group, which was described as a “strong team housed within a full-service firm offering counsel on a full range of business immigration matters.”
