9th Annual Law Rocks NYC 2024
Pryor Cashman has an esteemed history of supporting the music community through its legal advocacy, including in landmark cases about hit songs, illegal file-sharing, and streaming royalties and by its tireless work to help protect and monetize its music clients’ intellectual property.
On October 17, Pryor Cashman was proud to participate as part of the music community that it has served for decades, through its debut performance at the 9th Annual Law Rocks NYC event, held at the Bowery Ballroom in New York.
Law Rocks is a non-profit organization that hosts battle of the bands events all over the world where attorneys, for one evening, get to show off their musical chops to raise money for charity. This year, the participants in Law Rocks NYC, including Pryor Cashman, collectively raised over $225,000 for charitable causes. Pryor Cashman’s selected charity was PRECEDE, an organization devoted to the early detection of pancreatic cancer.
Pryor Cashman’s band, named Specific Performance, was composed of the talents of Ben Akley, Ross Bagley, James Bologna, Robert deBrauwere, Ben Jaffe, Wendy LaManque, Kevin Savarese, William Thomashower, and Josh Weigensberg. They played a 25-minute set of songs from the 1960s to the 2010s that had the audience dancing and singing along.
Pryor Cashman thanks everyone who donated to and supported this event for their contributions. If you are interested in learning more or in donating to PRECEDE, please contact Ben Jaffe, Wendy LaManque and Josh Weigensberg.
